Happy New Years!

Im glad she is only 10 years old, but if this is any sign what she thinks her social life is going to be like, she will be WRONG!

The kids with Grandma Petrick. My mom looks like its wee hours in the morning, when it was actually on 8:30 pm, because the kids couldn't wait any longer!

Grandpa Petrick had to have his picture with the kids. He missed the photo session with my mom, because he needed a quick nap.

Chad had the biggest smile right along with the loudest horn! The party horns are about 3 years old and still unfortunately produce the loudest noise!

Nathan loved filling his glass with sparkling Apple juice with many cherries to add color!

We want to wish everyone a Happy/Healthy New Year. We hope you are blessed with love, kindness, and enjoy life to the fullest. Remember to create memories and take lots of pictures!

Finally A Posting!!

Well I am back and going to try to do better at this! Leah keeps reminding me constantly about updating my blog. I thought maybe I was the only one who looked at this! It brings a smile to my face when my own family is excited to see what will be posted next. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and created wonderful memories and took lots of pictures! I always tell Scott(my husband) its not always the material things that we can purchase, but the memories we create. Not that he's about material things, but it's the reminder for both of us. There are so many things I remember about my childhood and alot of them had nothing to do with material things. Today I get the opportunity to go to Des Moines shopping with my friends and obviously I am excited, because its 4:30 a.m. and we are leaving at 8:00 and I can't sleep! In Des Moines there's this scrapbook store I LOVE going to and I believe that's going to be our 1st stop, otherwise I really don't need anything. Well now my husband is up, so I will sign off, because this gives us the opportunity to talk without 3 extra sets of ears. Have a good day!

I shopped until I almost dropped!!!!

Well every year the day after Thanksgiving my friend and I have gone shopping. This is our 18th year. DeAnn picked me up this year at 3:10 a.m., so we could get to Younkers when they opened at 4. We didn't see alot of special in the ads, but we talked about how the specials seem to be less every year, but it's just our tradition to go and be part of the crazy rush. Our longest wait in line was....yes good Ol Menards. Yes, no one can say we don't think of our husbands on this crazy day. Menards is probably the craziest store/and shoppers that we see on this day. We went to Carlos O'Kelly's at 10:30 am (Carlos opens early) and had dinner with a Strawberry Margarita which actually comatose me. Im not sure if it was because lack of sleep or to early in the morning for the Margarita?! We of course continued with our shopping and made it home around 4 pm. I got all items that I purchased divided up and put away. Scott and the kids went to his mom and Geralds for the day. I layed on the couch thinking I would take a nap, but oh my goodness my leg muscles were just pounding from all the walking I had done. I laughed to myself, because I felt that day my shopping spirit was showing old age syndrome. I look forward to this day every year and will continue until the good lord has different plans!

Happy Halloween!

These two boys are truly clowns! There was no acting or hard work for them at Halloween. Check their shoes out, they walked in these all night. Scott had them put their own shoes on first and then his pair over theirs...it worked out great. It was a beautiful night. No Leah this year she was invited to her friends, which rated over Halloween.

Chad getting his first /second tooth pulled

Grandpa Petrick getting the string around the tooth.

Chad wondering if this was a good idea!

Final results but...not sure if he's happy or sad?

After the shock..Chad was very proud.

It has been a tradtion of ours when the kids first couple of teeth are loose, that Grandpa Petrick pulls them out. Well Chad will be the last of our family to have this done. He has been looking forward to this day, well for a long time.... I believe ever since Nathan got his first tooth out. Grandpa Petrick gives them a dollar for being so brave. This happened on August 21,2008.

Chad getting ready for Grandpa, by laying on the table.

Grandpa getting the string ready to put around the tooth.

The second tooth came out on September 5, 2008. Grandpa did such a good job in pulling it out -that it flew in the air and no one has been able to find it!!! We looked everywhere, so as of today it's still a mystery. We had write a special note to the tooth fairy from mom, saying Chad had really lost the tooth.

I'm Back

I know I haven't done very well with my blogging. Leah keeps asking me if I have done anything new, so hopefully I can get in gear and keep this going. It's a beautiful day out and I'm enjoying every minute of it.

Moosejaw Restaurant is Awesome

When we got to the Wisc Dells and got settled in our room, our next important stop was to get supper. This place specializes in their homemade pizzas and beer, no wonder it was good!! So here's a look at the pizza. We actually ate there before we went home, because we enjoyed it so much.

Broadway Show "Footloose"

Right across from our resort was a Broadway show "Footloose". It was AWESOME, but unfortunately this was all the pics, because of performances copyrights. It ran about 2hrs 20 min's long, and was worth every minute. I know so, because if something can keep the boys in their seats and not ask us once when it was over...you know it's good. Thanks to Scott he got us front row seats, so we missed nothing. Dad (Scott)was pretty awesome in everyone's eye's that night.

Wilderness Resort Vacation at The Wisc. Dells

Well they should of got enough water action on this vacation. We even met Mr. Mouse in the lobby, so of course I needed a picture! Eveyone had a good time!

The Kids 08-09 Teachers

Leah has Mrs Fergesen for fifth grade. Leah was THRILLED!!!

Nathan has Ms. Koontz for second grade, this will be an interesting year!!!

Chad has Mrs. Klostermann for 1st grade.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL !!!!

Nathan has surprised us by teling us he was ready to go back
to school. That's music to our ears. This summer you could
always plan on Nathan being my wake up system, but of
course today he had to be the one to be woken up.

Chad came downstairs about 6:40, so he could play with his
toys before ready for school. He wore a shirt that his
Grandma & Grandpa B gave him and it says the following
Homework is good....for roasting Marshmallows!!!! I heard
him tell Nathan he thought he wear that so the teachers
could get a chuckle!! Leave it to Chad!!!This is his first year
at St. Mary's, so he will meet alot of new classmates.

The Beauty Queen had to be woken up . She has had her
outfit picked out for 3 weeks, so no hard decisions today.
A girls worst nightmare happened while getting ready.....
the ELECTRICITY went OFF, so her hair isn't quite like it
was suppose to be. Life of hard knocks. Ha!Ha!...well to a
10 yr. old

Oscar Mayer Wiener Mobile

I was so excited to see this mobile in town, so I told the kids I wanted to show them something cool. As we approach the mobile, they couldn't believe I was excited about this. I told them "it's the oscar mayer wiener mobile" their response... was we can see that. I guess I am aging myself, because all they saw it as was a hot dog mobile.

A cup of coffee with a good conversation

Today the kids asked if they could have coffee. Leah made the pot of coffee and once it was done, she served herself and the boys. I was in the other room, but they were having a good conversation between the 3 of them. I don't have pics, because I didn't want to ruin the moment. It was nice to know they can get along w/o any bickering among each other. Maybe when they are having a sibling rivalry, I will offer coffee. I hope as they get older they can have a cup of coffee and have many good conversations about their childhood or whatever may be on their minds. I know when I shared this story with my mother she was quite proud of the coffee request, because they pick up the coffee drinking from Grandma Petrick.

Let's Play Ball

Chad up to bat.

Are you ready Nathan?
How far can you hit?
Here's the ball!
Scott has been very busy lately with his job and he hasn't had much family time with his kids. The boys asked if he would play ball and once they started, they had a awesome time. I had to take pictures, because that moment was something the boys wouldnt't forget in a long time.

Summer ....You to have your toe nails Painted!!!

Especially in the summer Leah loves to have her toe nails done.
She wears flip flops to show them off. So if you drive by and Leah
is on the porch, she's probably doing her nails.

The Boys Moment On A Farm

Nathan and Austin bottle feeding the calves
Chad enjoying the moment.

Chad petting the calf.
Chad, Cody,Nathan and Troy taking a ride around the farm on the
four wheeler.
We visited our friends who live on the farm and the boys got the
opportunity to help feed the calves. They were so excited and
talked about for a long time. That's what memories are about!
This was in the beginning of July, but I had to post this, because
the boys still talk about this day when they see the pictures.
